The University at Buffalo in 2015 honored the service and philanthropy of Jeremy M. Jacobs, his wife, Margaret, and their family to UB with a new name for its medical school: the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The Jacobs family made a historic gift of $30 million to the school as it began plans to move to its new home in downtown Buffalo to better pursue innovative medical education, research and patient care. Jacobs is chairman of global hospitality and food service company Delaware North. He has served as chairman of the UB Council since 1998 and has provided invaluable service to the university over three decades.
